Half way through the conversion, couple questions:

Where can i buy the small style cone filters from for my bike carbs? I think they look the tidiest so i'm after four of them.

Also, do i really need a filter king regulator? They seem very expensive and surely a cheap and cheerful one does the same trick?

#1a Filters. these arnet just a matter of measuring the carb. The best ones come in a kit that includes jets to match the filters and there fore are bike model and year dependant...

#2a No you dont need a filter king you can use any MAKE...but you do need a CLEAN supply of fuel at the right preassure with a overflow to tank.

#2b Have you thought of using the fuel pump from the bike you got the carbs from???? that will be matched to them.

Ok, well the people that cleaned the carbs out for me said it already had an 'aero' or 'dyno' kit fitted or something? Apparently made the carbs suitable for use on a car? I'm guessing this means jets too... it's 98-02 Yamaha R6 i think so just after the filters really.

I may just use a cheaper one then as the filter king seems a bit expensive compared to most.

...and i hadn't considered using the bike pump as the standard pump regulated down seems to work ok for most people.

Filterking is one that is used to bring down fuel preassure to 2-3PSI Idont have ANY expirience with these but some do have a fuel return which is needed. Fillters will be easy to get for the R6 carbs. The 'aero' or 'dyno' kit fitted or something is used on bikes to get them to run right with the wire filters which also solves the flat spot on bikes (where the noise of the exhaust is measured) this normaly means the bike will have a restriction at that rpm 2500 - 3500 to quieten the exhaust
