i've read about the carbs in other pinned threads on here but i cant seem to find what I'm after.

basically i would like to know which weber carb, would be best for me to purchase to fit onto my 1.3 mk3 polo?

and where would be best to look for one, however once i actually know what I'm after I'm sure i'll be able to find one.

a mk3 would be single point injection

i guess if you want to convert then the dmtr would still be the correct one

infact...if its a road car , you may well get lots of hassle at mot time as id imagine the emmisions will be higher than allowed?

its not really, the weber is probably less efficient than an SPI or MPI system.

emissions would be a pain if your in a car with a cat, and they require fettling from time to time, good if you can be arsed and are handy with a screwdriver, but for the average joe or general usability stick with electronic fuelling

how do you plan to pass mots then ? weber wont work with your emissions stuff

no, carbs are much worse for emmisions.

why is it the first thing that people say about carbs is that they're gonna be rate bad on fuel? , its a load of shit.

A poor example of a weber which has been negelected is going to bad on fuel THE SAME AS ELECTRONIC FUELING.

A properly set up set of carbs or carb is just as efficient as an ECU. How do you think the guys with mk3's and bike carbs get on at the MOT?

if your a lazy fat bastard who cant be arsed to set up your carb properly then yeh its pointless, for everyone else i think they offer good gains.
