Alright peeps,

I've got a query...

At the minute all my buttons, switches and speedo lights are green. Is there any chance of changing them to White? I wanted some White LED's to put in so it makes the displays brighter and better looking. Does anyone know what bulbs to get? Also, where on earth are these lights situated and how to get to them to change them?? Please, someone help. :). Thanks guys,

Yeah a bit of input would be great, the green is diabolical.

Did some digging, these guys will do the instrument panel apparently, which having looked at Haynes, is a no go area. Prices start at £25.

If its pre 98, there two upper retaining screws for the panel surround, then the panel itself has a screw on either side. Remove them and pull it forward. Then disconnect the multi plug behind as you remove it.

If its the 98 model onwards then you need to remove the steering wheel and the steering column combination switch assembly. From there on, its as above. On this one there will be two multi plugs on the rear, one green, one blue.

Shout if thats a bit vague.

The switch's you just remove from the car and then take them apart "when you remove them your see what i mean" and the once you taken it apart your see were the bulb is then all you do is swap the bulb and I'm half were though doing the heater 1s as its a Green strip or a Red strip, and you have to remove the colour from the plastic strip which is easyer said then done that's all that's left in my car to do

I have no idea what you mean by the strip thing, I'm going to assume you mean the green plastic/paper like bit.

If so, yes, it'll strip it right off.

when I did my mk3 polo clocks years ago, I bought the remover for the film so I could get it clear, used blue acetate paper as well though.

I also did the needles in red nail polish.

So when I take off the switch I will find the bulb to replace. Removing the green tint is all I need to do other than that then yea?

How about changing the colour of the clocks? Where are they located dude?
