Hi,

I'm thinking of removing my rear wiper and I've seen the kits (with a rubber gromitt and plastic cover for the hole on the little plastic panel where the wiper comes out of) mentioned but can't seem to find them. Can anyone help?

Cool, thanks. There's also the little black plastic panel at the bottom of the back windscreen though. Someone makes them but I can't find who!

Just blank over that plastic bit, thats what people normally do.

Are you thnking of taking the plastic bit at the bottom of the windscreen out? The thing around the base of the wiper? What people normally do is take the wiper out and that leaves a nice big hole. And just blank that. Maybe some pics might help :p

You can make your own one. Fill in the hole with fiberglass and a skim of filler over the top, smooth it down give it a lick of paint and Bobs your Uncle

I have noooo spare time at the mo, literally, and with no experience in fiberglassing I didn't really want to do that. Managed to find a kit in the end - cult-society.com. Just make sure you brush up on your german before you go on it! Seems good none the less

How much was it?

29.50 Euros, including postage from Austria... about £26 I think. Comes with the grommit and the blanking plate, part number E 1006 S. I'll post pics up when I fit it for all to see :)

Thats What I'll Be Doing To Mine, Not Quite Sure How To Do It Yet Tho, Hoping You Can Just Solder Them Together

Multimeter, random bits of wire, solder... it'll all be good! So unlock the boot, wire the release to a solenoid, take the handle bit out or smooth over it?

Did my wiper removal today, at last! Also put a debadged grill on the front (the old one didn't come off very easily and is now in about 5 bits :s). Also took the polo badge off the back... you can see where it was in the right light, as the paint under it hasn't faded which looks a bit rubbish but hey ho!

Just needs a clean now!
