Interesting Read..

Don't know if this has been read by anyone, could be a re-post (was published in '02) but I just came across it now.

Not your average Clubpolo article lol, but I'm sure it's something we can all relate to while reading.

Just thought I would share it with the class ;)

it's true.

too true...

I'll read it in college tomorrow when my eyes work, title looked intresting though.

evening Ryan.

you've been quiet.

Indeed I have, I've spent all my time on eBay attempting to get some last minute bargins, although i have no need for Mk3 Golf parts at all.

Sure I can't tempt you with golf bits?

What about mk5 polo bits?

I don't even like the mk3's, but they are cheap.

Depends what these MK5 parts are.

be patient and wait for my for sale thread although if anything is buggered on yours, chuck a pm my way.

Well, so far my attempt at evoking some more philosophical discussion from the polo scene has slightly failed!

Philosophical doesn't happen, it's too rowdy and uncivilised

It's the polo scene, it's not about serious columns from the observer.

I actually read that theory of Freuds whilst at uni, it was typical Freud, everything is cock related. They based that kid in superbad on him.

haha it was worth a shot

lol i don't reeall know much about freud, but i thought the article was a little contradictory..

like at the start when he said the guy would never get rid of his minis because they held so much sentimental value..

then he goes on to say guys never have any emotional attachments to cars and are always looking forward to the next

but still some pretty good views going on, could relate to it alot

Good article, this statement rang very true for me.

"The newsagents carry nearly as many car magazines as they do soft porn and men read them in much the same way."

I've often seen me pick up a motoring magazine, look at the cars and make wierd noises associated with looking at a magazine like Nuts etc.

true about the specs and trim levels as well. it all seems eerily familiar. but i suppose it only applies tpo blokes who like cars, so its a bit like mee saying all women know what exact shoe or other bit of shite is, what its made of and how much its costs.
