As above, what do you folks use to stick the plates onto the car.

i got mine off ebay they came with sticky pads (ver sticky) i just put one in each corner and rivited them on looks nice and neat now!!

Need to know aswell, do sticky pads remove paint/laquer if they are taken off?

dont know pal i aint removed them yet ahaha, just soak them in warm soapy water before u peel them off should help to be removed easier!!

So sticky pads are strong enough to hold it in place? Use anything special? Like idk....ULTRA SPECIAL STICKY STUFF? lol

i brought some off ebay for my old polo and stuck them on with the stickky pads, then on the way home from work the next day the front one fell off and got wrecked under the car, so this time when i brought them for my current polo i screwed them on and put them small plastic screw cover thingys on them an u can barely see them, better than having your brand new plates fall off lol.

i got mine off www.theplateman.com £30 and £5 delivery, they look much better than the ebay ones

What you want to use is super strength velcro.

It will break the plate in half before it comes off your car!

Halfrauds do a roll of trim tape, think its made by Bostik or something, three lines of that length ways on the back of the plate and that thing is not coming off!

I like the idea of velcro, take it off when you go robbin..., i mean at a show Indy you run velcro on you are car? They stay on alright?

Halfords Velcro was weak and almost resulted in me losing a plate.

I used some selotape double sided foam pads I got from Homebase, about £2 I think for 100 of them. Plates are still on there fine.

Also, £30 for some pressed plates? I got mine for £18 off ebay, and they look spot on...

you must of brought different ones off there cuz the ones i used to buy looked cheap and the lettering was really thin

AAhhhh imagine loosing a rear pressed metal plate at 70 on the motorway and it flying through the windscreen of the car behind and beheading the driver I would blame halfords lol

did you have to send off any docs ? or did u just request the No plate u wanted ?

I got mine of Ebay too. Paid £18 for them, they look spot on much better than i thought they would be. No documents needed just sent them my Registration number and received within 3 days

defo, mine could hold a 15kg weight before it was to come off

What do you mean by thin? German font is thinner than the UK font for a start lol...Certainly don't look cheap. Pretty thick aluminum, and made with proper german presses.

We have this strong velcro stuff at work. I just use that.

i jus went into halfords and asked for pads to stick on licence plates and they gave me these thick things tht are well stickyt costs 2.99 for 2 but they hold the plates on

how have you made the inside of your lights blue?

I got some german style plates and they look nothing like the above ones

Font on mine seems thicker but they do look very nice. Well chuffed with them and only cost £18 aswell.

Thats just the sidelight bulbs! Got blue ones, that show up the same colour as the car when they are on.

THats just the angle the photo was taken from, they don't usually look like that, just look like normal lights.
