Was it an early GLX? Maybe a case of VW just put solid discs on all the 6n's until a certain year?

VW never really bothered with brakes I don't think, early 16v Mk2 Golfs, which were the fastest of the bunch, relied on 239s too :lol:

I was having a look at an early B3 Passat GT, with the 2.0 16v, and I'm pretty sure that only had 239s. Fail!

mines a n reg glx ,has got vented discs not sure on size tho but its close under my wheels
