Hi guys I'm looking to make my 6n2 a gti replica and so I am going to spray my door and bumper trim in blue. We have a bodyshop at work so I can use all their materials. Is it just a matter of pulling them off, sanding, then spraying blue? Also does anybody think that the gti split rims would look good if the outer edge is blue and matches my car?? Thanks!

Gti's dont come in blue so it cant really be anywhere close to a replica. But yes you can colour code the bumpstrips.

You will need to sand them down, plastic prime them and then hit them with some colour. I dunno if 6N2 bump strips are textured or not?

Yes they are textured. Best buying the primered ones straight from Vw!
