Polo 2001 Central Locking Wiring Diagram

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just wondering if someone could post the wiring diagram for the central locking as I am trying to figure out which wire is the common (in order to fit the remote central locking kit). The type of the remote central locking kit is similar to this one (Polo Central Locking). However, the wiring diagram in this post (the link) is not same as the one that I have.

Thanks

here you go

Car lock open white/green

Car lock close white/yellow

Car lock/unlock position to A-Pillar, in wiring harness coming from driver’s door

these are the lock wires on the car

you need to wire your kit as follows

yellow,yellow/black and red coneect to a permanent 12v+ supply

connect the black to a good earth

connect the white wire to the cars lock wire

connect the white/black to the cars unlock wire

then connect your indicator wires to the black/white and black/green wires at the switch on the steering column

thats it

Thanks mate. Just wanted to double check that the Yellow is also +ve, as in the diagram (the one that came with the kit), it says that Yellow is -ve. Also I have Gray & Blue wires for the "Common Line" that need to be connected to the common Line between Motor switch & Air Compressor i.e. NO White & white/black. Also does it mean that I donot need to connect the kit in the boot (where the compressor unit is) & instead house the kit somewhere under the dashboard?

Thanks

yours should not have a compressor

can you post a pic of the wiring diagram i can then work it out for you i was basing it on an r click kit so i take it you have something different to that

Hi There,

The wiring diagram for the central locking could be found at http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=Tsa3mYJ

I believe the very last configuration applies in my case.

As far as the compressor is concerned, I had a look inside the boot and on the right side, I saw a a module that looks like a motor that has a few wires coming in and a air pipe going out as well. So it looks to me that there is some sort of compressor/motor mechanism.

Thanks,
