Any history? do you know if the cam belt was changed by any chanced mate?

Hi, I don't have any service history as such. There's a receipt for a front exhaust system and MOT (Nov 2006), one for a pedal box (Nov 2006), a throttle body inspection & clean (Jan 06), a couple of old MOT's and a HPI report (Jun 08) I'm not with the car right now so can't check the cambelt, I'll look later for you. I do have the correct Volkswagen cambelt kit to fit it (bought it in error for another Polo I had last yr). If I can get to the dealers (no transport at the mo!) I'll get them to print off whatever history they have of it and I'll stick that in with it too.

Took it for MOT and it failed on;

1. foglight bulb

2. NS Headlight aim too far to right

3. Excessive carbon monoxide content at idle

4. Excessive carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle

5. Excessive HydroCarbon content after 2nd fast idle.

So stick a bulb in, correct the headlight aim and do that tappet and it'll be good to go!

we're potentially looking at worn piston rings and a head rebuild on those engines,

potentially a new engine.

No tax/test, fair few bodywork marks.

If you're willing to quite heavily negotiate on the price, we may have a sale.
