H101 RUX Polo GT Coupe

Featured Replies

The time has come to part with my GT as I have too many cars as it is and the parents want some drive back!

The spec:

Miles - 142k

Reg - H

TAX - 5 months

MOT - 7 months

Location - Kent (Sittingbourne ME10)

Engine:

Still the 1300 GT lump with a few tweeks,

4 branch manifold and straight through exhaust system.

Shrick cam

Golf AFM

Poloace 8k chip

K&N pannel filter

Chassis:

Lowered on phil j 80 60 kit?? Not 100% on what the drop is but thats what i think it is.

Lower front strut brace

Rear strut brace (lime green!)

13x8 Wellers gloss black with nearly new tyres (175/45 niiiice stretch)

Powerflex bushes up front

Body:

Half colour coded front and rear bumpers

Colour coded mirros

Badgless grill (GT badgge lime green!)

Genuine VW front fogs

Rear arches rolled at my dads body shop

Vent moulded in the O/S wing

This little combo adds up to an amazingly fun car to own which sticks to the road like... putty to a blanket!!

But with everything good there is always going to be...

bad bits:

sun roof has dropped a little as it's missing a screw. believe it or not, it doesnt leak! condensation gathers a little though.

tick over needs speeding up a little.

one rear tyre has a little evidence of rubbin on the outter wall but miles of tread left.

The car does like to do the odd back fire and a cheeky flame here and there and in my ownership, not so many older people appreciate this aspect of the car! However, if you have a bit of taste, it sounds incredible!!

I'd like to see £1000 for the car as it is, however, if someone wants it without the wheels, I do have a set of 13" Hockenheim's with good tyres on them and maybe we could sort soething out.

Forgot to mention, brand new fuel filter last week. New plugs, leads, dizzy and oils done about 3k ago.

Also, ported and polished throttle body.

I hope this is still here in the next few weeks.

Btw the suspension is a 60/60 PhilJ with top caps on the front - so its 60 on the back and about 70 on the front.

like that,

don't like the vents though. Spoil it so much.
