6n headliner..any tips on removal?

Featured Replies

Am working on a 98 open air, which has decided to leak into the boot!

i have removed the plastic side trim on the inside of the rear pillars, and the trim at the top of the rear hatch.

I want to drop the headliner out to get to the back of the sunroof.

I am guessing it is just the handles that hold it all up, but any advise is most welcome!

Thanks

Andy

you will have to remove your sun visors and the handles. and the A and B pillars. and also the seal that goes around the open air roof. then it should drop down and you can just pull it out through the boot. :)

Kuszpit :)

I needed to know this too as my open air headlining needs retrimming. Does anyone know the width of the headlining? need to know so I can order some fabric.

Got the headliner out, was pretty straight forward.. got to work out where the moisture is coming from now, the inside of the roof is covered in condensation.

Have tested the roof for leaks by pouring water on, and no obvious signs of ingress.

There doesnt seem to be any drain tubes, but possibly these are hidden in the frame surround - etka may reveal more.

will post back with more findings, as i needed this topic this morning!!
