6N2 controls for fans lights, drivers leccy mirror

I've just bought a 6n2 1.4 match. should my knobs for the fans light up? all the other lights work.

and drivers side electric mirror doesnt work? any ideas?

Yes they should you need one new bulb.

It is located behind the center knob with the 01234 fan settings.

Twist it all the way to the end and pull it quite firmly and there is a bulb behind it.

Dont know the name of it, its a tiny little interior bulb can get them from halfords, pull it out with some pliers or somthing quite fiddly

Twist it all the way to the end and pull it quite firmly and there is a bulb behind it.

thanks for the speedy response, twist the "1,2,3,4" knob all the way clockwise? and then pull?

sorry i ment all the way anti clockwise to 0

And yeah pull, its not the easyiest thing t grab onto, you can use a flat head screwdriver and prise it out but it will probs damage the plastic surrounds

Oooo cheers mucca, I imAgine my mk5 is identical to the mk4?

Similar, but not exactly the same. The procedure pictures are the same for the 6n2, I've just had to change the bulb myself this week on my 6n2 - not taxing but takes about 5 minutes.

The cold and warm alternating weather is playing havoc with the bulbs!

Does this one bulb light up the direction knob and the temperature knob aswell? Because they don't light up either

Yes one bulb for the whole unit.

cheers again..just pulled the knob off and pulled out the bulb, and indeed i can see that it has gone!
