Stereo wise, not a clue. All I do is junk the stock one for some crappy cheap headunit that I can plug my iPhone into and I'm happy. The Vento doesn't have to bad a sound system in it compared to my usual mk3 Polos but sometimes it feels like its lacking a bit of bass. I don't want something that will shatter my windows and make my ears bleed. Just something that will give it a bit more bass. If I can get something cheap that can plug into my existing headunit I'll go for it. Or even if I can get a cheap headunit and a cheap sub then I'll go for it but I'm not wanting to spend mega bucks cause I don't really give that much of a crap tbh.

I bought one of these for £20. Anything I can do with it or am I better of leaving it be?

there no pre-outs so nowhere to plug a sub into iirc

As above......there's plenty out there in that sort of price bracket but look for pre outs to run an amp.

you can use a sub with a standard headunit if you really want to ......

you can buy an iso adapter thats got the wires running to the front speakers , then theres the pre out plug for the back speakers , so you can plug the pre-outs in there and run them to the amp :) i had one with a flip out dvd player before , cost me like 8 quid :)

as paul says, the adaptor taps into your speaker wires and converts the out put to pre outs, i've got one at home somewhere i bought it for my ibiza cupra as you can't change the headunit.

i have also used one of those adapters in the past and sounded fine. this was with a standard mk4 golf unit as we didn't want to lose all the steering wheels controls etc. but if you are going to purchase one i would recommend making life easier and just buying one with a sub output as the adapters are just extra money and time on top.

Well if the adapters are only £8 then it doesn't make much sense to buy a new headunit. I paid £20 for the one I have so its not like I've spent fortunes Don't wanna have to go out and pay £80 for the headunit and then however much for a sub.
