ARB and lower suspension arm bushes

Featured Replies

'I'm looking to stiffen up the front end a little as all the bushes and mounts are looking very tired, and to be honest i can feel the front end waving around when going round corners etc, haha. Not cool.

Anyway, i have seen that venom do powerflex bushes: http://www.venommotorsport.com/manufacture...l=Polo%20Mk%203 Are these any good for the money? They also stock poly top mounts: http://www.venommotorsport.com/manufacture...l=Polo%20Mk%203 Worth the cash? I do get through standard top mounts like nobodys business so it would be nice to have something a bit more robust.

Other bushes i've found are this full set on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volkswagen-Front-Sus...=item414b50b411 Obviously the ebay set is substantially cheaper and so i do question its quality, but surely it would be better than OEM?

I'd appreciate opinions/reviews from people who have tried uprated bushes and topmounts so i can get an idea of what to look for. In a perfect world i would be placing an order for a stage 3 kit but with a very light pocket i'll have to wait a while.

Thanks, Ian.

up. Anyone run uprated bushes?

dont bother getting bushes for the anti roll-bars, get Gladersiete ARB Blocks, they bring the arb forward and down which corrects the cars geometry when its lowered, give you clearance for downpipes on different engines too.

you can get g40 track control and steering arms if your lucky, they have rose-jointed inners, or get some Gladersiete or Powerflex inner and outer bushes.

I've ran g40 tca's with g-lader outer bushes and a subframe and also with the standard arb and arb bushes, and powerflex inner and outer tca bushes and gladerblocks, you'll notice the most difference from the blocks over the tca's, but do the lot and your laughing.

Thanks for the info. I've seen many people using the Gladersiete ARB blocks and you have just clarified as to why they do!

I would be doing everything inc topmounts all in one hit as everything seems a bit ropey. Thanks for the info.

Ian.

cool, let me know how you get on with those poly top mounts, i wanted some bonrath ones as there lower by 15mm as-well but they seem like a decent price, and hopefully will give a little drop as well.

edit :- they lower by 10mm, looks like a win win, i might get them as my mk3 coupe needs new top mounts and I've got near new ones on the mk2 coupe, which could do with an extra drop and some stiffer top mounts to go with the lowering kit thats on it,

got a mk1 polo with camber adjustable top mounts, not driven it yet so will have to report back when its done =]
