Electric Windows Problem Polo 9N

Featured Replies

Hi All,

The one click function on my passenger window has stopped working. I removed a relay looking for another problem and since I replaced it the problem has started. The electrics seem fine...

any ideas?

Its a 2002 9N

I've had the same problem. If you take your drivers door card of, detatch the wiring loom which is plugged into the switches and reattach them they should work. Had the same problem on my 9N3

is it that easy?

i just thought the passenger side was not one click and let go

Yeah they are both the same. Volkswagens design for ease of driving ;)

But yeah should be quite straight forward, sometimes mine botches up like that :S Taken it down the Smith Knight Fay in Bolton and was gonna charge me 35 sheets to fix it! :o I felt like slapping them :p

What ended up working was to put the key into the locking position on the passenger side door and hold it for ten seconds. This restores the auto settings that were lost when I disconnected the relay. The same would apply if you had to disconnect the battery.

Great news! So VW was gonna charge me £35 for 10 seconds work  ROBBERY!

Glad you got it working!

Push the switch all the way down, hold for 10 seconds, pull the switch all the way up, hold for 10 seconds.

this is how you program the 1 touch feature.

Just saved you £35 right there! :)
