i just fitted some 6n2 lights to my 6n and when i tested the lights i had a very odd combination for instance hazards= l/h brake + r/h brake light and they all do different combos like that so does anyone no why as my lights were working fine before or am i just being stupid and missing something/ a part??

Easy fix m8.

All you need to do is chop the two lugs off the side of the connection plugs and flip them upside down, problem solved :-)

wow ok thanks i was gonna do that but i thought "nah they're gonna be directional for a reason lol " cheers

i split my plugs and re-ordered the wires on my 6n.

Snap-On sell a plug splitting tool that enables you to get the silver pins out of the plug without damaging anything :) meaning you can re-insert them in any order you like.

I wish i would of known that before i massacared my wiring :(

so will just cutting the directional plugs and turning it around work??

there's a guide somewhere on here iirc.

Should of asked me mate, all you do is for the left side is swap wires 1-2 done, right side is swap 4-5 then flip the connector so it plugs in upside down you'll have to cut the two bits of plastic off the connector first, done.

If look at the connector closely they're numbered.

What I said should work

left side: swap wires 1-2 plug back in correct way around

right side: swap wires 4-5 plug back in upside down (chop the two bits of plastic)

if that doesn't work then I don't know, but that's the correct way.

I know this is a bit late, but there is already a guide over at uk-polos, it has pictures as well, definately helped me when wiring up my 6n2's
