I'm wanting to be able to connect my mp3 player to the RCD200 headunit in my 9N3. Not bothered about any fancy features, I just want a 3.5mm input somewhere. What's the most cost effective way to do it?

if you had an ipod then this would be what you need

the other option would be a parrot mki-9000 bluetooth handsfree kit as this has ipod/usb and 3.5mm jack capability

to use the phone kit witrh the factory stereo you would also need an SOT-076 lead to plug it in

Hi, I have just tried to install the Connects2 iPod connector but it didn't work. There is black wire (GRND 12V) just hanging around. Do you know where I attach that and is that why it's not working?

Black wire is probably earth/ground - try touching it to the radio chassis and see if you get any life from the unit.

I'm trying to do the same on my 9N3 - but with an xcarlink interface. I bought the unit from xcarlink and it did not work either (cd changer not found). The support desk told me that, because my radio (RCD200) is 'Made in Korea', their interface will not work (I'm wondering if this is the case to with your unit?). Apparently this is a 'known' problem - although there was nothing on their website about this when I bought it. Xcarlink are testing a new unit that will work with my radio - due in 3wks they say.

Check the label on your radio and it would be interesting to know if yours is 'Made in Korea' too...I'm guessing the protocal or the wiring for recognising the CD changer is different in this unit.

I'd be interested if anyone else has had success with an ipod adaptor and a 'Made In Korea' RCD200?

What's the best interface to use? Is the parrot bluetooth one any good (is sound quality good?)...
