i wanted to know if its possible to fit a gti front and rear bumpers on a mk4 6n?

if so how can this be done?

The 6n2 gti and 6n bumpers are completely different but can beade fit! You can also get a hybrid of the 2 in the polo chat section!

those hybrid ones are straight fit.

they wont fit with alot of work involved thats why the above iis offering hybrid bumpers that have the top half of a 6n bumper and bottom half of a 6n2 bumper, with mine i had to replace the entire front end just for the gti front

yeh i spoke to the guy and he said he aint doing them yet its just an idea at the moment.

i really wanted to get something different to make the car look good.

what sort of work is involved to make the gti bumper fit?

for the front you need the bumper, both wings, bonnet, both headlights and indicators, full front panel, cut small sections from the inner chassis wings, weld small plates to the front and have the headlights and indicators rewired to work with the older plugs

If its a 1 L or a normal 1.4, go for 16v bumpers. A lot of guys choose them as they are really smart, and tidy the front and rear up nicely.

what is the difference between the normal 8v bumpers and the 16v bumpers?

16v... and people usualy smooth bits

8v.....

what bout the rear bumpers?

any difference in those?

where can i get some 16v bumpers from?

rear 16v bumpers are they same as the 8v but with no split in them, so they are one peice

Look in the for sale/ car breaking section of this forum. Or try scrap yards, the GLX and 16V polos both have these valver bumpers so they might pop up time from time. Ooooh and also the good old ebay :p

Are the 16v bumpers easy to fit? ie.. are they direct fitment? What needs to be removed to get the 8v one off?

Just need to undo all the bolts in the arch liners and along the tops and bottoms of the bumpers.
