By the looks of it that thread on Passionford has just brought out the idiots, since if you look on the rest of the forum there is some level headed decent people.

I really like fords, always have done. And I've been to a few ford shows in my time, but the sad fact is that fords are generally owned by scummy pauper tramps. Plus they have been doing the same things for the past 15 years if you dont have a cossie engine thats polished with loads of chavvy blue silicon hose everywhere then you are nobody. And a FORD MOTORSPORT sunstrip.

Not to say that VW's are any better though.

point is as much as i'd never own another ford i can appreciate a good well put together car for what it is - i love mk1 golfs but that one is just plain shite! a mate of mine owns a string of top bollox fords mk1's mk1 vans, cossies, st's etc etc, i love his mk1 mexico with a passion and it has the most powerful lotus lump in the uk but i wouldn't want to own any of them - i'm a dubber through and through, not scene in anyway though i build my car for me and the way i picture it, not what's in or cool.
