I love old fords just as much as VW's. I can appreciate both and not sure why other people can't. If I could afford a Cossie then I certainly wouldn't own a VW....

From my experience though VW shows are 100x better than Ford equivalents. Hell, last time I went to Retro Ford show the best car there was a Vauxhall!

Sierras are okay,as long as you're one of the lucky few who can see over the dashboard.

Looks though,i obviously dont care for. The only part of the exterior i get to see 95% of the time is the bonnet - though thats something Sierra owners wont be able to relate to.

Karmann ghia over any 'affordable' Fords, imo :-) that i can think of anyway

Id actually really like the Sierras. Dad had a Sapphire twink when i had my first Escort and it was tidy. Dash/scuttle was several inches too high,though..

I still like alot of Fords,but only classic ones now. They get silly money,but a MK1 or MK2 Cortina estate with Duratec power wouldn't go amiss.
