Fords tend to modded for performance becuase they have a very well respected Motorsport history.

The comments about the "scene" being a bit emo and girly are mostly down to Edition38. Much as there are some nice peeps on there it generally feels like an american highschool playground. I often wonder if they all use the american slang they spout on there in real life. Other parts of the scene like ClubGTI are much more performance oriented but these kinds of forums are not as well known as Edition. Also has anyone else noticed that large chunks of the Edition faithful are going Jap? It seems some days to have more Jap posts then VW ones!

The difference though is that a cracked block doesnt make a car bounce off the road when it hits a bump, lowering it 120mm on standard shocks and wishbones etc does!

you have put an engine in the back of a nova, i'm guessing this hasn't been the most complimentary mod you could do for your handling

the jap lads as well as the mini lads have been using negative camber for years, it's not just some thing done by vw owners, infact it's only a pretty new thing compared to the other scenes it's been used in.

we had a local meet on sunday AireVAG its called that due to its predominantly VAG following, but....we had an astra gsi van, a focus estate, a megane, a 307 (i think it was), and a BEEMER, and then few polos a golf, and a few lupos, we all got along just fine and will probably do so again!, just please dont think the vw scene is a certain thing because its vast and very different, obviously your opinion is your own, but we arent all the emos and fairy boys some people think we are just because alot of us prefere aestetics rather than performance! its like taking the piss because i like HP on my bacon butty and you like ketchup, its mere details, the point is we all like cars and that should be the focus

he's still taking a small car that was designed to be front wheel drive and putting the weight of an engine over the rear wheels while loosing the weight of an engine over the front wheels. 550bhp going through the rear wheels of a nova is insane

i'm not saying the nova isn't awesome, i'd fucking love a go in it lol, what i'm saying is he is hating on people that mess with the suspension set on their cars and saying that it's dangerous when he has gone much further with the suspension set up on his car.
