Is there anything humanly possible to get more power out of a 1 litre polo engine?

Other than just aput a new engine in it of course.. which I'm kinda looking into aswell :p

Perhaps a new stainless exhaust mani, ecu chip and cam perhaps? Most people would suggest it's better to get a new engine.

yea, might look into a stainless mani, was thinking of this, didnt know if it would really help performance, though.. or just sound rude :p

If you're talking about a 1 litre mk3 engine it'll be an AAU. A GT cam will fit this ok and give a bit more poke. In terms of stainless mani and exhuast... just have a look around, I'm not an expert on 1 litres

Bigger throttle body is presumably the standard 1.3 one?

do the 1.0 injectors, etc all fit straight on? - thought the 1.3 was dual point inject? (I'm probably way off, though :p)

I'm guessing you have to have injectors ith it too.. like i said I'm still looking into it :p

off course its humanly possible to get more power out of a 1.05, Just the same as getting more power out of a 1.3

People are gonna start disagreeing with me but i think its worth it.

However its quite expensive, I'm currently tuning my 1.05 at the moment. Its kind of an experiment track day car.

Iv used the bigger 3F/ABD head with GT cam, which has been ported matched with the original 1.05 manifold to increase flow rate.

remember this is all more expensive than putting a 1.3 in there , but i wanted a high/fast revving engine rather than the 1.3.

as for fuelling I'm using a carb set-up with mk2 ignition.

then , after all this there's a custom ally airbox and cold air feed, semi stripped interior and some nice fat 13" wheels.

just abit of fun really.
