Possibly even do satin pearl, 2 tone etc.,

omg, thats given me ideas :ninja:

That is destined to look instantly shit lol.

Looks proper good, I think the rims will suit it down to a T, especially with a pretty big difference between widths!

Cheers dude, I'm actually going for something you don't see much, girth at the back with tuck upfront.

Need to sort the paint out though :-( , and Tobys not being helpful.

cheers man, think ill be attempting a full body restoration on my drive way, satin tornado red.

looks better everytime i veiw this max

them arb blocks look swish :)

these need to bemade avalible for us all 8-)

You wont have the protection if you dont laquer it. some say matting agent makes laquer porus, i say thats BS as mines been on the car now for 2 years and it still looks sick. No rust other than from stone chips.

what you want max, is normal basecoat (in whatever colour you like) then the clearcoat matted down.

Amount of matting agent is anybodys guess. Mine was spot on 1st time round, making some more to match was complete guess work. 1st time there wasn't enough but the 2nd tin was again spot on.

I'm sure it was near enough 50/50 though, id need to ask the paint dude though really.

I got mixed up with 2 tone, meant flip paint kinda thing.

So basically go for a tornado red basecoat (over primer in places its needed), then laquer , then the laquer matted down.

How do you matt down laquer then

You can buy matt laquer off the shelf dude :)

Depends how much matting agent you put in. Too much and it will be matt, not enoughb and it will still be kinda glossy. Perfect amount and it will be satin.

Does doesnt it. Really like the look. Nose down, are up and massive girth at the back, front tucked in. Handles much better aswell.

Big thanks to robbodanrobdanbob.

Think some of them centre caps would finish them off nicely dude :)

rocco looks sweet on them man, although the fronts are a different steel? didnt realise that while i was powdering them

  • Author

Yeah the ones on the rear look awful un-banded, have no dish at all.

Haha, what you doing when you put them wheels on the coupe then?

What you mean?

well, you're selling the rocco wheels and have the banded steels on the rocco, so when you put the steels on the coupe, what are you going to run on the rocco? Is that detailed enough for you!?

Lol, well I don't know what I'm doing with the rocco, it looks stunning on the steelies.

Some more pics of it nearly ready to go for an MOT

Still no where near finished though , in my eyes.
