This is my 1990 silver Polo Coupe S. It's currently on a SORN declaration and is unroadworthy. So if you win, it will need to be trailered away. A local hire company to me hires them out at £33.75 for a day... The car is in Portsmouth.

Some people might remember this from around September last year... I had a half arsed effort at moving it on, but this is the real one... I have less than on month before I move in with the Misses and my flatmate doesn't want to be left with it! I was just going to eBay it, but it's £8 to put it on there and then another £20 when I sell it... that's a lot!

Tax:

None (sorn)

Good points:

Sun Roof [factory - metal]

Clean Interior

No signs of rust under the removed plastic arches and side strips (these have been cleaned up)

Four relativly good alloys

Headlights are included, but one is cracked

The battery compartment is rust free [see small photo]

I will also throw in a slightly broken grille with two spot lamps in it

Bad points:

One alloy is off and has been part resprayed [spare in its place] [spray cans are included in the sale]

Currently has the wiring loom removed

Engine has not been started in over a year with several bits in a box... plan was to rebuild the engine

Battery does not hold charge

Check photos for rust, there is some...

Hole in rear wheel well, cut out most of it

Front panel that the headlights fit to might need replacing, depending on how good you are at body work...

It WILL need to be collected using a trailerand can recommend a local trailer place that's only £33.75 for a day!

Reason for selling:

I have another and this was going to be a project car as I love the colour and the fact it has a sunroof... times change, jobs changes, you meet people... you move in with them... something has to go and it's this car.

Correct(ish), as I stated in the second paragraph. I didn't push it too hard last time as I couldn't be bothered at the time as it was just sitting there on the driveway not doing a lot. Now I'm moving in with the Misses, it needs to be gone, which is why it's back on here...

That is cheaky! I can get that from a scrappy who would come and collect it for me too!

The engine would need to be rebuilt I think... The coolant was drained late last summer.

The interior, if you take a quick peak at the shot of the inside shows it to be in not too bad a state... the seats are far more comfortable than the ones in my roadworthy Coupe S :(

I'm probably going to stick it on eBay tomorrow or Thursday... depending on if I get the stopcock changed at the misses (joy!)

It's only on ebay for £30, you could take what you wanted and then sell on the rest easilly?!

It's time vs effort as to if I can/will break down the car. I'm moving in a matter of weeks, so spending time doing that is not really what I'm after. If you want to make a list of what you want within the next few days and also list what you would pay for it I have a good think about it :)

The above does not guarantee that I will break it down...
