bought this car in september off john bonham and haven't realy had much time or money to do anything with it so in the last month i kicked my self and relised its time to make this my own :-D

this is how i bought it

the damage was : needed new , roof lining and bonnet

all to there own I'm going to put Compomotive - TH-Mono (black) wheels on this followed by camber shims 1.5 degrees :-)

i orderd a new bonnet and I'm replacing the head lights witch iv also orderd these got deliverd today but the bonnet was damaged :angry:

so far iv removed the exhaust to cut the tail pipe of and weld a more subtle one on as well as going with the hide away look :-D still needs adjustin slightly on the exhaust mount but not to much of a problem

after takin the exhaust of i relised i could lower the car a little more but not sure atm asfor this is how low I'm currently sittin

bonnet will come next week followed by my lights replacing my gti head lights for standard head lights just spraying the inserts black i personaly think these look better wheels will follow next month aswell as camber shims and more lows :-)

little update

took apart my new head lights today at work and sprayed the chrome inserts black i forgot my camera so didnt manage to get any befor pictures :-(

i also played about with my exhaust and got it sittin right :-D heres how it looks with out the tail pipes

the maskin tape is due to the P.U mastic sealer still drying its holdin the front and back of the lights together

Think you need to something with the front end, rear is all smooth and then the front looks cluttered.

Don't think the rear lights do it any favours either.

i no I'm changin the rear lights its find some that will suit tho and the front is as smooth as your gettin lol

Technically its not a genuine GTi as it started life as a 1.4 Match before getting the full transplant ha ha :-p

Still, good to see it getting some love and a few fresh mods. I've followed this car's progress through three or four owners since day 1, when it appeared on uk-polos.net! Looks a lot different now!

The smoothed bumpers, sidestrips and boot remind me of Alice's Polo (see this month's PVW) 8-)
