Make a diesel sound better ?

Don't start it.... 8-)

Na my dads got a mk4 golf GTTDI And has had it all play with with V6 exhaust the lot running around 220/250bhp and still sounds shit sounds half right when he boots it when the turbo and exhaust but still not the best

when I'm driving my mums v6 tdi a4 it sounds good from about 2500-3000 rpm, end up raggin the fook out of it in every gear to try and kid myself its a proper throaty v6

haha , you should hear my caddy , 1.6 Diesel, with 3" exhaust, sounds like my mates massy tractor

just install a loud sound system to cut the sound of it out! simples

The SDIs really are loud, we have one at work with the brakes binding on, so you've got to give it some welly to get it moving and bloody hell it makes some noise.

Any ideas? 8-)

i think this maybe a lost cause, maybe a different back box, but diesels do sound like tractors coz tractors are diesels lol, but they can sound good when they get going! maybe try an airfilter/induction kit?

friend put some bike cans on a turbo diesal astra sounds mint lol

dno how :S

Decat i think..

But its a diesal so id live with it and laugh at people putting petrol in all time with there sounds :D

Turn up radio1 and chil?

I like it too. If it was up to me all my cars would sound like a transit DI engine.

fit a turbo and a non restrictive exhaust then whack the boost up and take the air filter off

th_Jettanoise4.jpg

it don't stop it rattling on tick over but any thing after that you can't hear the engine over the exhaust and the turbo

aint it a SDI ?

meaning straight diesel?

that's why i said 'fit a turbo'
