haha! i don't want to show too much yet, I've got loads of pics to come, it should be done by friday so i'll post a proper thread up, but as it stands now the car is now how it was from the factory (condition wise) and primed.....

right, the front suspension is h&r cup kit on mk2/mk3 struts, so brakes were a no go, but i just picked up calipers, carriers, discs and basicly new pads for a bargain price of £20! so just got to fit the rear H&R shocks and springs and wait for the spray boys to finish their work and then it's MOT time

i've already got the insurance quote: fully comp on my own it's going to be just over £400 a year and £400 excess, i think i can live with that, so that way i'll be able to have BOTH the mk1 AND the mk2 on the road hehe a dream come true.......now......g40 next purchase lol.

DROVE it back today and got some black pinstripes on her, she looks the dogs! i can't stop looking at it!! haha

haha cheers mate, it WAS just a temporary measure until i get the clips for the chrome strips, but now there on there i thinks it looks better so might just kkep it like that :)

i always smile when i see one of these was the first car i owned when i passed my test in 1981 get some chrome about the place bumpers door handles etc and a nice deep dark paint collor a nice set of retro wheels and she,ll look the nuts lovin that imitation walnut dash by the way
