Great to see another MK1 saved from the dismantlers, Miles. I really like the simple, clean look of this with no chrome strips, etc. A lot of MK1's are chromed to buggery (including, of course mine!) and it's good to see something different. I'm going along the same lines with my Derby CLS too with it's poverty spec trim level...

it's gona be a little while until it's legal to drive, i'm getting the 900cc engin out, taking it to the yard, getting the bay cleaned smoothed and WHITE, then bringing it back for the new heart to go in, then a few little bits for the MOT then she's ready to be shown off to the UK :)

thanks alot :) and yes they are.... i think, they arnt the normal G40 bbs RA, they have a curved lip and as said are wider...

UPDATE: as you know a big load of nothing has happened for a while, well.... i came up with a brain wave, my mk2 seems to be the distraction, so that is going to be taken off the road, and i'm donating most of its driving parts to the mk1, progress BOOST!

then the mk2 will be the project muah ha haaa

Well yesterday (before the south coast polo meet) i decided to get my booty into gear and me and my mate towed the mk1 to his garage where the heart transplant will take place next weekend :)

here she is, ready and waiting

what are the little slots bellow the grille/above the bumper mate?

oh yeh they're the slots for the mk1f grille i forgot to ask them to smooth it off haha, it's cool though coz its got to go back in for loads of smoothing etc
