right the wifes got this little rice mobile, its a 1.0 16v twin cam ( nuff speeds) on a R reg and the little bugger wont start, not had a look at it yet but when cranking over the car thinks its running thus all dash lights going off but as soon as you stop holding the key it just kaputs.

It doesnt fully start though just splutter kind off think of it as this following equation -: bbrrrrrrr - starter motor going :) - engine firing

the misses dad's one did that the other month, started fine one morning then just cut out as it was ticking over and wouldn't start again, just kept trying to until the battery went flat. we stuck a a jumper pack on it the next day and gave it a good going over (easy start, cleaned plugs, checked for loose wires, ect, ect) but couldn't find any thing amiss and it still kept doing the same thing. then all of a sudden just as we were about to give up it just fired into life like nothing had happened and has been fine since.

strange, the one i was in got on its roof 3 times before coming to rest in a ditch. driving in heavy snow, we lost it after colliding with an abandoned car, ended up going through a hedge and rolled down the field.

Nah man! nothing seemed to happen when you put your foot down! the gearchange was vague, the clutch vile, the seats were like sitting on a bench, no support, iu just generally really didnt like the thing! lol
