RCD 300 CD Head Unit Fitting in 6N2 Polo?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Wanted to know if a RCD 300 Headunit out of a 2004 VW Touran, will fit into my 6N2 Polo X Reg.

My Polo Currently has the Gamma Tape Head Unit and CD Player which are two seperate units, that fit into the two shelves on the Dash.

What if I removed the two shelves and replaced them with this head unit?

Help would be much appreciated

Yes mate identical to that. I think your right the connections are different.

What about the RCD 200 off a VW Transporter. It is more square shaped?

this one will fit

but you will need to get an sot lead to be able to plug it in

Do you have the part number or place where I can find it. Tried Google, but need it to be more specific.

Thanks for your help mate

Won't fit surely due to the fact there bolted in into a touran?

Will also be missing the can signals to turn it on and off, as well as being quadlock, and having a different aerial (2 seperate for am/fm)

And there crap anyway!

itv is basically a telehone mute 2 piece loom that has 4 plugs of which you only need to use one part of

the bit you need will be the female standard iso to male fakra

this is what it looks like

you will only need the loom on the left of the picture but you can only by it as a complete kit

i do them for £18.99 plus carriage

I just want to keep the OEM look TBH. Yes so thats a definite that the rcd300 won't fit.

But I am pretty sure the RCD200 will fit. (And i've found one for 30 quid from a T5 Transporter) so thats the reason I want it. Also heard of some guys fitting them in their MK4 golfs. So just need the exact part number for the lead that adapts the Gamma plugs to RCD200 Plugs.

forgot to add the part number

SOT-076

also you won't need a canbus adapter as the polo has an ignition live in the iso
