Hi all,

I am thinking of selling my Mk2 Driver due to the fact I cant really afford the insurance, tax and running costs being a student!

I have owned the car for two years now and have loved owning the car every minute of the way. When i bought the car i had it serviced with a new cam belt etc.... I also sorted out some niggling problems such as the cooling fan not coming on (replaced the thermostat on the radiator).

Due to my money situation, there are three problems that could do with addressing (though the car is perfectly drivable):

1. It needs a scuttle panel under the bonnet - about a year and a half ago rainwater leaked into the passenger footwell through the ventilation intake. Since this happened i have been keeping the intake covered, and only using the car heating/fan when I have removed the cover from the vent. This can be solved by getting a scuttle pannel which should be no more than £30.

2. Front right wheel bearing sounds like it needs replacing.

3. (And this is a small one...) Some little f*ckers have stolen the VW badge off the front!

The car is in good condition, with no seat bolster wear or anything like that. The carb sometimes gives it a small problem when starting from warm, but it has never failed to start for me and it has never broken down.

The car has MOT until mid june and tax until the end of June and the mileage is around the 125,000 mark. There is a Sony mp3 CD headunit in the car with AUX in which i will leave in there too. There was not service history from before i bought the car.

I am going to hang onto the car for a bit longer. The mileage is only 112k, i thought it was more! I am sorting out the bearing myself and will be keeping this until the summer, then i will be selling it. Sorry for drumming up false interest, but i will put it back up on here when its for sale!
