Recently i have been searching for another polo. After having two 6ns, i was looking for a mk3. A 1994 1.0l coupe has come up, and i decided to do a quick insurance quote hoping it would be a lot cheaper to insure than my current 1.9d.

Endsleigh (who i am currently with) quoted me £2300 for a new policy TPFT. Now considering my current policy with the diesel is only £1800, I'm a bit confused.

Is there something I'm missing out? According to parkers, shes only a group four.

How much are you guys paying?

I'm 18, with one years named driving experience and no no claims bonus (6 months into my first). Never had any claims or convictions.

its rarely got anything to do with engine size at your age unfortunatly, from what you say you have only been driving a year which is nothing therfor you are a risk to everyone else (in there eyes anyway)!!

Yeah, but why would endsleigh charge me £1700 on a more powerfull car then add on £600 for a powerless fartbox?

its just how there underwritters work mate - its fucked up i know!
