thanks....if mine comes out good i might advertise to do other peoples cars??? :D

right i used plastic shaped to the right curve then fimer glass and filler and then some stopper which is fine filler...then just keep repeating filler and stooper unitil its right shape ..oh and use some form of block when sanding

hope that helps :D

do it ...I'm finding it really easy so far :D

well gun, air line, compressor and other bits and bobs were £170

primer, paint , pannel wipe, aintiboom , thinner , and other bits and bobs was £130

Mate that is sick! Really clean job, looks great

Looking good mate, cant wait till its all done :-p

wish I had the time money and space to do this

Thats fucking amazing since it was done outside

I get fucked off when you get bits in the booth, id simply just roll into a ball and cry if i was attempting to do it outside haha

No problems with dust?

Wind?

That is really good

Did you use rattle cans or a paint gun??

Not an update on car as such I'm still polishing it but on the warrier hardtop i have been spraying for a mate :D

After 3 coats of warm silver (silver is a hard color to spray due to the flake)

After laquer

that is awesome, top job :)

Wow great work mate cant believe you did all this yourself did you use a compressor and gun? you got a shortened summary list of bullet points to get to your final result would be great as I've done some work myself but no where near your perfection lol

Top marks fella, big respect for doing it your self! Cant wait to see the finished car!

hiya guys thanks alot for the kind comments :D

as for the list :

  • Brought a cheep 50ltr compressor and gun
  • Paint is 1k mac5 basicly the new celly and only need a repserator no an ait fed mask
  • I think i used 2lr of primer and 2.5 of paint or 50/50 with thinners
  • Sprayed 5 coats in total and then a coat of neat thinners to smooth it out
  • At with stage it was far from perfect and very orange peely
  • So wet sannded it verry carfully with 1000-1200 ideally could have done with some 2000 (i did go though to primer in a few places but touched them up)
  • Then i brought a machine rottary pollisher or mop and using farecla g3 compound and compounding pad polished it up (note i still need to use a finishing polish to refine the finish and get more shine prob use g10 ) and then will wax it with a good quality paste wax to protect it ....its not perfect but good enough for me :D
hope that helps any thing else just ask :)

thanks jamie
