VW Bora 2ltr 8v Dragon green

Featured Replies

Hi thanks for looking at my post....

I have as the title states a dragon green 2ltr 8v Bora for exchange i am looking for a corrado 2ltr 16v/vr6 or a mk3 golf vr6 but with respect to both cars I'm looking for as standard a car as possible with tax and mot needing as little to do as possible i.e nothing more than a service.

The Bora has had 4 owners is just coming utpto 100k miles is on a V reg..

the work i have had done is as follows ..

new radiator

new starter moter

new battery

powerflex rear axel bushes

powerflex wishbone bushes

powerflex front anti roll bar bushes

new catalitic converter

power stearing hose, from pump to rack

3 new lamber sensors

wiper mechanisam

2 new wiper moters

new clutch

discs and pads all round

the one part that got right under my skin a brand new throtel body suplied and fitted at my friendly VW main dealer

and at the same time as the throtel body they also fitted a thermastat and housing.

For anyone who has not been in a Bora it is basicaly a mk4 golf inside so it has a factory fit radio and a cd player in the double din slot it has retractible cup holders electric windows all round air condioning ,center arm rest, the interior is in black/grey cloth ,the dash ilumination is in the very nice blue and red.

The bad bits as much as thay are with the Bora being a saloon car the rear bumper has rub marks on it around the hatch and has a scrape on the passenger side of the bumper. the windscreen has a chip in it that is not in the drivers vision and did not get a mention on the mot due to it beeing less than the size of a 5p coin.

their is one small stone chip about 2cm above the drivers headlight i think that is it for the bad bits sorry if it seems like I'm going on but i would like everyone to see that I'm not hiding anything. At the moment the car is in need of a was and polish so sorry no pics but depending on the weather this weekend that my change.

The car has mot untill november tax untill end of april but depending on how the exchange goes i may be able to put 6 months on it.

many thanks for taking the time to read this post pics will follow...

to keep in line with the mods and rules of the forum i need to ask a price so I'm looking for around £2500 but as the title states I'm looking for an exchange..

Bump

i think that possibly your valuing your car a little high? i mean mine is a T-reg (year or two older) has slight cosmetic issue with the rear bumper yet has only done 78-79k miles and is up for £1250 now

if you look in the first post the post states that it was listed for a friend i.e me.... considering its my car i priced it at what i thorught was a fair price with the amount of work that has gone into it on parts that would unlikley need to be replaced .. and becides that it has nothing to do with you what price i charge or want to charge....... so please keep your opinon to your self thankyou very much ....!
