I’ve had it for just over a year and it needed attention when I got it. Its an early shape mk2 with polo variant bumpers.

its been a great daily run about and has never let me down besides the ignition coil failing, but that was early on.

I suppose I best start with the bad bits as there are a few:

no tax or mot.

needs at least 2 new tyres.

the fella before me tried some D.I.Y smoothing in a few places witch was left in red primer and now rust has started to poke threw

there is a fair sized dint in the drivers side front wing were some one hit it in my works car park.

The rear arches are rusting, although this is common on these.

The paint is fading in places, but it does polish up well.

Drivers side handle has been damages were some thieving scruff tried to break into it.

Also the drivers side electric window needs a new motor.

Also think it may need an alternator

Good Points:

Good 2.0 8v Gti engine with 106k on it that still pulls well.

Coilovers, not sure on the make though.

Has an immobiliser

Mk3 cupra alloys

Stainless steel exhaust with a oval shaped back box.

the last one is of it at it's best.

bump for my old car! I had this about 2 years ago, it was bog standard with nasty small bumpers, hanging off exhaust and 3 spokes when I got it. Looks a bit sorry for itself now though :( I did the smoothing about 2 years ago, so if no1 finished it I'm not surprised it now looks rough :( I spent an absolute fortune on this car on them wheels, the exhaust, and coilies, they're Jamex btw mate :)

it looked a little worse for ware when I got it about a year ago, all I have done since is use it to get me to work and to the skate parks...its been a trooper any how.

I wonder if soomeone's put a cat on it? Cuz when I had powerflow make that exhaust I had the cat removed and no removable section to even fit one, so god knows how it passed its last mot! I'd buy it back for sentimental reasons if it was cheap enough lol

some places put the probe up another exhaust to get a car through a mot

I would love to buy this back and make it how it was when I had it, but I can't justify it as I paid £280 for it when it had no TnT and it looked like this...

Then I spent a ridiculous amount on it and then it looked like this in its heyday...

Someone get this bought and give it the TLC it deserves! I had it for about a year or so and sold it on about 85k, never had a problem with it apart from the window which still needs sorting, and I did discs n pads all round and new wheel bearings, so I can't see it being any less reliable with the miles it has now, and that exhaust does have a nice rumble :)
