Bike carb manifolds

Featured Replies

Don't know where my last thread went, but anyway, just made my second one of these manifolds and using some new techniques and tooling its come out much better :thumbsup: A couple of people haven't got into contact after initial interest so I still have enough material to make a few more, so please PM me if your interested :-) For one like the one pictured below I'm asking £60 delivered, however if you want extra work doing, like port matching to the head, or welding on a pipe for brake servo vacuum will increase the price. Let me know your requirements. These are made of mild steel.

which bike carbs are they spaced for?

  • Author

They were done for CBR600s, I was informed they are 28-40-28mm between carb outlets. But I can make them for other carbs if I'm given the spacing measurements :smile:

I'm thinking of fitting carbs in the future pall, just out of curosity, how much would it be to make a mani for 1.6 8 valve (AEA) including the port matching and servo pipe.

And where the pipe meets the plate, are these smoothed in for better gas flow.

Thanks

Luke.

Really Interested

sorry mate but those welds look really un tidy and a bit dodgy tbh however much heat did u put in the one on far right is really warped. take it you used a mig welder to do this? something like that really wants tig welding. don't get me wrong am sure this will do the job but i honestly don't think its good enough quality to warrant selling for £60

What are you on about? :lol: I'm using tube thats already bent to get the correct spacing for the carbs, its not warped at all. And the welds are very good actually, tidy and sealed. You'll struggle to get MIG much neater than this;

Anything else?

To everyone else who has PMd me, sorry for the delay I'm just literally sifting through the dozens of PMs I've received and should get to you shortly.

new to hole bike carb thing could you make a mainfold to fit a mk4 1.4 8v

I would second the welding guys,i work in the body trade and you wont get much better than that.I was going down the bike carb route (going a little different way now) as i did on a kit car previosly and i would have been using one, it cost me that much to make one myself. :thumbsup:

Just made my fourth manifold now, and have ran out of material. But I will be sourcing some more and then taking a few more orders, however the price may have to increase slightly from now on as I'm thinking about having the flanges CNC cut to match the oval head ports. I will update the thread when I have more material. Here is the most recent one using a different method for R6 carbs;

When I have more material I will bump the thread to let everyone know :) The little pipe you are talking about is for the brake servo vacuum.
