i was looking through max's metro pics on here the over day and made me want a metro so i went onto pistonheads and found this..

after about half hour of havin it i decided to let the oil out of the susspension which i kinda regret now as its really bouncy and the drive shaft is playin up when i turn a corner..

i've bought this as a daily while i get the conversion done on my mk3 square. its done 34k with full service history and completly original and in very good condition. don't know weather to put the oil back in the suspension or wait for the driveshaft to go and fix it when it comes to it, what do you reckon i should do? thinking of putting a different lump in it and some different wheels on it once I've got the mk3 back on road but thats about it for now, hope you like :p

Nice Metro's FTW but you should get the rods chopped and get it individualised then it will be like a go cart and be that low with oil in and about 550 psi in it

lush....thaught you got a mk1...tut tut its a mk2 hah...

put the oil back in i say...otherwise you will ruin it..depends on your attentions of keeping it?..oh and 13x6 et-7 ultralites would fit a treat...with 145.60 tyres..

thought it was a mk1 :/ my bad lol. I'm thinking of putting the oil back inbu i want it decked ultralites sounds very tempting, think I'm gonna keep unless another stupid idea comes up

Ok atm the suspension linkes front to back or side to side i'm not to sure on the a-series. But you can put a bolt in each one to stop all of the roll and it makes it a very firm ride. and the rods are the ones inside each suspension canister you cut a couple of mm of them and your car will be low and firm. And there is a bloke in cannock who can pump your suspension back up. Go on to Metropower.org.uk and there are loads of guides for everything on there and most of the users are local.

you want to find slater on retro rides who had the beige mk1 tro.ha did it to his turbo and banded his standard steels OEM+.....the set up on the mk2 is pretty much the same just linked differently......take hell of alot of work and fiddiling about though from what i remember...metroownerclub aswell is ok but full of older people..and dont take kindly to modifying old metros...

i really want to but changed my mind n the driveshaft nock is doing my nut in! bin told its because how low it is.. the driveshaft sits on the very edge of the bearing on the cv which will pop out.. i can pump the susspension back up and chop the rod n individualise the suspension but want another polo

i was talkin toa guy in cannock the day i got insured, he has 12 metro's proper metro enthieast, wanted to buy mine aswell but will be giving him a ring soon to pump it back up..

need something what coilovers will fit straight onto and not custom and need for practical use.. there's a few cars i been looking at though

yer mk4 coilover fit straight on be ok as daily you still breaking your grey polo ?

and mk1 rear coils gonna get front and rear for the square, no idea wha to do yet
