Not sure if this is the correct place to post sorry if not. I have a 1999 6n Polo it does not have central locking. which is why I am asking this question.

I was woundering do I have to go to VW main dealer to get my key blanks cut?

I was thinking of installing Central locking myself from http://www.rclick.co.uk/

It says that they supply key blanks but I want to know if i can take these to a local locksmith or key cutters? rather than VW who will probably charge me a small fourtune to get them cut.

i got a kit from rclick, although mine was the plug & play, the keys will be the same.

just make sure u get the right blanks, think i paid £6 to have both cut at my local locksmiths, just done by a machine. x

Was it easy to install your kit?

well i have central locking so was plug and play, however there is a guide on here for an rclick kit like youd want (with solenoids etc) and is fairly simple and doesnt take long.
