The correct jet sizes for a mk2 1300 MH engine? I have searched but to no avail...

My polo has been running like crap for a few months now and the only thing I can put it down to is the jet sizes in the weber. I don't know what size engine the carb was originally for so I would like to get a correct sized set just to make sure.

Any help appreciated.

The general view is that standard jets in the DMTR are ok but run rich. I would certainly agree with that, but I've also got a bigger GK inlet and a straight through exhaust. Hopefully I'll get it rolling roaded over the fairer months. I really don't think I'm getting good fuel mileage but then again Mr fascist Brown keeps putting up the price of petrol.

If it helps, I'm running the following jets on a 1300, GK inlet, twin downpipe, standard cam, and they work fine, gettin revved fairly hard.

Primary: Main 100, air 155, idle 45, F22 emulsion

Secondary: Main 120, air 185, idle 70, F25 emulsion

We've run this on an air/fuel meter on the road, works fine. I know sec idle seems high, but power smooth through the range because of it. if I look around, I might find the jets I used on a 1400 nova SR, if you want. I pick them out with a pair of long-nosed pliers on the car.

I take it your talking about the DMTR carb? Not the DMTL which I believe has a larger throat size.

I just don't have enough insight to know, hence why I would like to get a proper rolling road re-jetting session. I'd be interested to know what anyone thinks of that set up?
