That 1.9" one looks weird the 2 1/4" looks more like the ones I've had, going off the curved shape. I dont have one at the min though so cant say exactly

2 would be best to get the rings tight together, but I've managed it with just one and a flat headed screwdriver

Tightened together by hand, then whilst putting pressure on the top ring with the screw driver (in one of them slot things) tighten the bottom one up with the C spanner

1.9" looks wierd Could you measure them?

Tbh I've always just adjusted mine by hand and never had a bother with them.

Managed to adjust one of my fronts by hand the other day, been over 2 years since I'd touched them aswel. Was quite surprised tbh.
