Bready trailer

Featured Replies

Been on here a while so thought I'd post a pic of my only Polo on the road. Bought through here and tidied a little, just waiting for the blue paint to dry on the badges. Have another 5 Polos to sort out, 2 coupes being turned into trailers, my sons 1ltr coupe, my 1.3 Genesis coupe, and a 1ltr bready.

watch piccies.... nice enough, even without text :)

now I've seen everything!!! I know people did this with Minis. Why does it look so tall on the back of the Veccie?? Have you used a trailer chassis then bolted the half shell on?

Balloon tyres (175/70x13) standard springs, and no weight in it. It's the rear end with a draw bar fitted. Plus the photo was taken kneeling down.

Ross, hows the metal work been done round where the door lock pin things used to be? Seen a couple of trailers at springfest etc where theyve left them on and just boarded the hole over and it looked bloody terrible. Also, does the spare wheel bolt to the X frame inside?

I'm trying to whore my mate into giving me his MK3 Golf shell that hes scrapping so I can make one for the Vento. Blatantly the best idea for shows and generally carting bits about. Car doesn't get filthy inside that way!

thats what i thought Kam. With abit of design, I'm sure i could make slot in pieces so its a mobile kitchen area for shows and weekends it can cart the crap off to the tip.

Well the cars getting scrapped and the Vento has a tow bar so I thought it would be rude not to!

is that the trailor i advertised for me mate?

Now finished messing around with the trailer. Took it to UD, got a few initial strange looks , then smiles as people overtook me . Every time I went back to the car people were looking and taking photo's, so I think people approve?

Been thinking about wheels, and have decided to use the old Audi alloys I had laying around. First off I had to find a spare so picked up a GT steel, then a mate on Dubshire fitted the first of the three tyres I'd bought...

soo cool has any one done a 6n ? :D

Would have thought the rear wheels are too far back, putting the majority of any weight carried onto the tow hitch affecting the handling of the tow vehicle. A saloon or estate model may work??

Just resprayed the new alloys in chrome (early '90s Audi 80) just need to get the tyres fitted and tap it with the lowering stick
