Hi... Just a quick one...

Anybody got any more details on the g40 steering damper?

Is it fitted to the rack to provide return motion to centre / add feeling?

I've never seen one before (on the web or in real life)

Do they make much of a difference?

Anybody got any pics?

Where could I get one?

They come fitted to mk3 GT's too. I think its more to lessen the effects of torque at the steering wheel than anything else?

Sorry re-start an old topic is there an alternative damper or a universal one 

 

I found that the length is 479.5mm and the stroke is 170mm. unless someone is kind enough to measure one they have lying round.

 

Maybe we can find an aftermarket one
