TOPIC DESCRIPTION: Owned the gti for over two years now so thought its about time I showed a few pics.

Model: GTI 6N2

Engine: 1.6 16V VVTI (Standard)

Suspension: Standard

Brakes: Standard

Wheels and Tyres: 16" Dotz Mugello's wrapped in 195/40/16 toyo proxes

Exterior Styling: Debadged polo badge, aero wipers, headlamp protectors, rear mudflaps, drivers stubby mirror.

Interior Styling: Standard with heated leather, audi tt alluminium pedal upgrade

ICE and Security: VW 'MCD' Sat Nav and standard 6 cd changer

Comments: Picked this low mileage standard gti up two years ago, comments welcome - may consider lowering shortly

very nice, id go for the black centres looks good. just wants lowering a bit and maybe lose the gti badges for a slightly cleaner look. u def got a good deal on those leather seats they look pretty good, did u actually manage to get the door cards into the bargain at the price u told me?

Looks very tidy! IMO I would keep the wheels as they are, they look the shizzle. :-D

Thanks for the comments mate, yea got all the leather doorcards with the deal aswell well chuffed. I've treated all the leather with gliptone leather cleaner/conditioner and its come up showroom fresh!

Thanks mate, there great to drive, nice smooth power delivery, plenty of poke above 3500rpm. There certainly nippy, same peformance as a 106 gti (0-60 + top speed) but with 10x the build quality/features.

Go for one you wouldn't be dissapointed

Thanks mate, I'm considering the lowering but I don't know where to start with so many options out there, it gets a bit confusing. I want to be able to seat 4 people / go over speed bumps comfortably and have decent ride quality still so may well just end up keeping it standard

just go with a spring and shock kit then, u wont need coilovers. if its only 40/40 i doubt u would have any issues with that or 60/60 if u feel a little more adventurous. can get a kit for under 175 off venom. nearly got the supersports myself but ordered sum coilovers to get it really low

I'm At 60/60 Atm And Have No Problems On Springs And Shocks , Was At 40/40 And Decided I Didnt Like The Arch Gap .

ye will do a bit, i had some on mine at one point but changed to 14s, u won't get a massive low on 16s but they dont look that wide and the tyres are low prof so u will get away with a sensible amount.

I've had a look on venom motorsport and the Supersport Sprint Suspension Kit is about £170 delivered for a 40/40 drop do you think thats a good option? PhilJ (Jackson Tuning on here) Is the same price as the supersprints for a 60/40 drop and even a tad cheaper for the 40/40. I don't want a stupidly firm ride though and it does mention on the venom website the ride will be firm with the supersprints. Would be great to see some other 6n2's on here with 16s and a 40mm drop before I decide...

hi mate, i jus got 40/40, big mistake mate imo, made barely any difference in looks, esp if your running 195/40/16s like i am, handling improved a bit

waste of money for me, looking for coilies now, or a 60/60 kit

thanks mate, have you got any pics of your car with the 40/40 drop, think the gti sits slightly lower (15mm) than a non gti anyway, I am tempted by either 60 or 40 but just don't want to compromise ride quality and practicality much. I do like to be able to have people in the back and go over speed bumps etc. If I like the look of your suspension and you want rid of it I may buy it for a decent price, I neally bought your wheels a while back i seem to remember

There Perfectly Good And Doesnt Effect The Ride Quality That Much , Obviously The Ride Will Become Harder The Lower You Go .

yer lol i rememba mate, decided to just get them on, ill take few pics 4 you afta work, r u running 195/40/16, if so the arch gap is still a fair bit on 40 drop thats the only thing bothering me really, on 60mm u shouldnt have ne rubbing if uve got 195/40/16s
