As always I'll be supporting mclaren. Interesting story recently about the double-diffuser rear wing they've made that other teams complained about. FIA have said it's legal so it might give them a slight advantage in straight line speed for the first few races till other teams implement their own systems. Apparently it works by a combination of slots in the ends of the wing and an air inlet on top of the cockpit front, the driver covers up a hole to stop air flow from the inlet over the wing, this stalls the air on the wing and reduces drag. Then at a corner they uncover the hole to get the downforce back. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me, a nice engineering solution to not being allowed in-race adjustable wings.

My prediction: Lewis Hamilton wins championship, Alonso very close second, with Massa and Jenson scrapping for third, Red bull won't be nearly as fast as last year, Michael Schumacher wins one race in the wet but is upstaged by Rosberg all season. Barichello finally retires at the end of the season, and there will be at least one major crash with a front runner crashing into a painfully slow backmarker.

I'm still undecided on that one, i agree that neither of them is gonna sit back and let the other take the lead.. but i also think that their competitiveness will make for some awesome driving and keep Mclaren on it's toes..

I switched it off after 14 laps...cutting out fuel stops has fucked it up imo.

I fell asleep after 5 laps, woke up towards the end and that wasn't any more interesting....

I fell asleep before it started and woke up after it had finished, fail on my behalf.

Then i tried to watch the highlights later that night, and then Sky died!

That was a rubbish 'race', if you can call it that,

they should ditch the no fuel stops and having to use both hard and soft tyres and let them race!

Yeah I'm fed up of the fannying around too, why cant they just go back to the stupid days of turbo era and whack a blower on an turn the boost up to 4 bar. Why on earth do they have to use hard and soft compound tyres, can't they teams just decide for themselves which would be best for the track conditions? F1 has gone so downhill the past few years....

f1 doesn't interest me any more and this kinda thing is a prime example of why. Why do they constantly have to piss about with the format? What was so wrong with the way it used to be?
