hey guys I've tryed geting a castle nut off the topmount on sus and its really not coming off blow torched it ,impact gun on it, everything !

could i just buy another castle nut the hexaganal one ?

why haven't they just got blots tbh its not even like a castle nut cause it has not split pin that locks it

Last time i got one from vw they are about a quid but they had to order them in.Also they are usually a lot easier to undo if you loosen them while the legs are still on the car.Cut them if you have to nay but ring vw to order them first so you are not waiting for ages .

Generally if you compress the spring then they are fairly easy to do. Last time I undid mine with a mate pushing the spring down and then I cracked the nut off. Once its cracked off should come off fairly easily.

Is the whole shocker shaft spinning when your trying to undo the nut? If so get some vice grips/mole grips on the shocker shaft (Fkin tight) - Not the threaded bit obviously or you've fkd it... And get a mate to hold it why you undo the castle nut.

I've tryed it mate ! its ok i just got pissed off with it cause it nearly broke my finger so i chizzled the nut off !
