Welcome to my world, 3200 a year on a 92 CL, hence its going, and I've got a 6N coming next week, that 2100

18, No NCB

Swinton

Try flux

I went with Direct line my first yr, 17yrs old no NCB 3rd party

£695

Second yr Norwich union, £600 fully compy

3rd yr Elephant 3rd party for a Astra £300

4th yr started Elephant Astra again £290

Keep searching, and call some people and ask for better deals, if you dont ask youll never know!!!

Oh and confused.com found me elephant I would reccommend that comparison site!

its so much easier for girls , my sister did her first car fully vomp at £800 when she was 18 , no ncb aswel !

Don't use comparison websites as they are always massively wrong. Ring around as many places as you can. Play them off one another. Don't just take the price they give as the final answer, you can usually haggle something out of them.

Try specialist VW companies..

Adrian Flux

HIC

brentacre (I've been with these 3 years now as they have nailed everyone else by hundreds every time)

Unfortunately your going to have to spend 2-3 hours on the phone calling everyone to find the best deal.. But like heartagram said, play them off against each other.

£2000 really aint that bad, i'm on about 1700 with a years no claims on my 6n and it was £2200 for my corsa on the first year

Insurance seems to be a hell of a lot more than when I started driving. Which was only like 6 years ago. By no means was it cheap but it wasn't near £2k either!!

i still pay around £900 with 2ncb and being 19 on my 1.0 6n, pretty sure i can get it cheaper though.

whey too expensive for my liking though

Its ok, the statutory arse raping only lasts until the age of 25, then insurance goes down a lot... I did a quote search and said I was 24 with 6yrs ncb on a 1.4 8v 6n... £1380.

I then changed my DOB to a week later (making me 25). Same car and everything, but left the ncb at 0... £490

riiiiiighhtt...

£1380 at 24, holy fuck, I'd be raging if I got quoted £380 even now at 20 on an 8v 6n!

You say dont use comparison websites but I've had my best quote from confused.com (still trying other places tho!)

try churchill mate or admiral!

Admiral are my insurers and they are pretty damn cheap!

They are the best price for me so looks like I will be going with them

Agree with Admiral! I'm 18 no ncb, lowered and alloys £1000 for a 6n for 10 months

I generally do the comparison sites, then ring the top five or so and see what they can really do.

Have you guys tried bell.co.uk? I insured a 150bhp CRX vtec at 18 for like a grand, 1 years ncb. I can insure my type r for £980 at 22 with 9 points, a claim and 3 years ncb. Add your mum and dad and anyone else who has a long, incident and point free licence :)

Matt

quinns quoted me £1500 for me, 18, 1 years ncb and 1.9tdi polo

i went to hughes (NI only) and i got it for a grand

You can't go with HIC for your first year, they need atleast 1 years NCB.

I shopped around for my insurance, I'm paying just over £700 TPFT on a 1999 1.6 6N, 21, 0NCB, just passed test, own policy, all mods declared.

Thats with Quinn Direct.

If i could get it that cheap fuck getting a polo it would have to be a civic vti

damm you all for youre cheap insurance lol admiral want 1400 fully comp from me on my new mk2 1.3 polo lowered 60 mm ( I'm 21 had licence about 2 years 4 mnths with 3 points and 3 accidents)

accidents whether they are fault or non fault will serious hamper your chance of finding cheap insurance as you will be classed as a liability.

why youd want to be fully comp on any mk1-3 polo is beyond me as they will write the car off without a thought and give you pennies back
