Right my brother has a Mitsubishi colt and he recently had the engine management light come on he checked a come of things like the air filter and then the oil and realised the oil was well over what it should be. Could this be the reason for the engine light to come on?

Or if anyone knows of anything else to check let me know

Just need some help as he refuses to drive me to pick up my polo haha

too much oil can damage the engine just like low oil,the high oil pressure will cause the mangement light,if driven to long without fixing it could start to blow seals and gaskets

Well he had the car a week or so before the light came on but when it did come on he looked into it and got rid of the oil within days, drained it to below the line today and there was a fair bit that came out!

So you think that could just be it?

could be mate,but best if he has a diagnostic check,see what faults are showing,or need clearing
