Central locking pump compatible?

Featured Replies

Hello there!

I have a Polo 6N2 locking pump which does not lock my car (can only unlock) the item id is 6N0 962 257 A,

I found a Golf MK3 pump 1H0 962 257 A, could it fit?

also does anyone have an idea how to fix my current pump? it does not make noise when I try to lock (same problem using the key), however no problem while unlocking.

thanks.

No the pump will not fit, the 6n2 ones arent that expensive, I've got to buy one myself as my system has totally died.

well I'm not from the UK and here it's not that cheap.

I couldn't find it on ebay,so it's kind of a problem..

thanks anyway for the respond.

if anyone else can help me regarding to my current pump I'll be glad to hear...

thanks.

I had a mk3 golf pump on a 6n. I cant imagine they would have changed the wiring ect for the 6n2. I would say give it a go the worste you could do is burn out the mk3 pump.

yeah but there are 12 pins availble for the electrical cable to plug in,and from what I understood the number and locations of the pins is different between the models of the pumps,

ie: in my pump the pins are located at:

1,3,4,7,8,10,11,12

I have a 6n pump for sale if needed, got pic of the number as well;

i think the golf 1H0 962 257 is the same for the polo, unless there is another version "1H0 962 257 A" with the A on the end ?
