been googling a bit and you can buy L plates with window suckers... which means surely you can put them in the window and some are saying its fine if you put the front top left and the rear bottom right hmmm

also found this

a person provisionally licensed to drive vehicles of category B, C1, C, D1, D, EB, EC1, EC, ED1, or ED shall not drive such a vehicle unless there are displayed on the vehicle rectangular plates or signs bearing the letter “L” not less than fifteen centimetres high in red on a white ground, in clearly visible vertical positions to the front and rear of the vehicle

but still does'nt say if the windows are ok

Going from that, on your car, I'd say back yes, front no.

to be honest it don't matter as long as they can be seen there not going to pull you for putting them in the car they just pull you if they cant see them and any way they put them low the front of a bike front folks in fact

so i wouldn't worry about it

i would say yes for rear no for front

you could have the same arguement with numberplates

Give it a go?

Would have thought the worst that will happen is the fuzz will pull you over and give you a slap on the wrist for them not being on view properly.. but they cant say you dont have any.

I ran the back one in the window and no front one for 6 months, every day, got pulled for no front, said it must have blown off, just told me to put another on when i passed a petrol station.

go for it mate it will be fine...seen loads of learners with them in the windows I'm guessing you live in collumpton seen your car parked down the road from my dads mates house, looks really clean:D

i live up at exeter castle....up the road from timepiece mate if u want to go to some meets look for toytown dub nutz on facebook some nice and low 6n2s there

It should be fine in your window mate aslong as it's displayed.

Make sure you display them though or they can screw you for not driving in accordance of your license.
